Making Films

Cincinnati Filmmakers is a group of people passionate about making films. We love every aspect of the filmmaking process and the creative, dedicated people it takes to pull it off. All cast and crew are volunteers and no experience is required. Our first feature film called Hope Actually released in theaters and on Amazon Prime in 2022.

Hear about the vision and stories behind Hope Actually.

The heart of Cincinnati Filmmakers is to provide opportunities to learn, advance, and grow in the film industry as well as personally and spiritually. We believe everyone is born with a creative gene and if given the chance, can flourish and be who they were created to be. This means the films we produce are designed to give maximum flexibility to learn and make mistakes. Skills workshops and department meetups will give chances to hone your talent and make connections with other like-minded movie lovers. And we also need the community to rally with physical resources like locations for shooting films, camera gear, or your basement full of clothes for wardrobe.
